Build, Create, Innovate

About Me

Hi, I’m Darrel — a technologist, maker, tinkerer, and builder with a passion for turning weird ideas into real physical things.

My work sits somewhere between custom fabrication, small electronics, 3D printing, laser work, prop-making, and experimental finishing. I like solving practical problems, especially the kind where an off-the-shelf part does not exist or almost works but needs a custom solution.

I build small custom parts, prototypes, hobby electronics tools, sensor projects, tabletop accessories, props, and decorative pieces using a mix of 3D printing, laser cutting, engraving, electronics integration, and small-scale electroforming.

A lot of what I make starts with a simple question:

“Could this work better if it was made specifically for this use?”

That might mean designing a custom bracket, building a small electronics holder, making a UV fishing lure tool, creating a fantasy prop, or experimenting with copper electroforming on a tiny object. I enjoy the process of measuring, testing, revising, and improving until the piece actually works in the real world.

This shop is focused on small custom work, prototypes, creative projects, and practical one-off builds. I am not a mass manufacturer, and I do not pretend every idea is ready for production on the first try. Custom work often takes iteration, and that is part of the process.

What I do offer is honest communication, careful problem-solving, and a hands-on approach to making useful and interesting things.

If you need a small custom part, a prototype, a prop, a hobby electronics enclosure, a laser-cut piece, or a decorative electroformed item, send me your idea, sketch, photo, or rough measurements. I’ll help figure out what is possible and what it may take to build it.
